    Workshops & Trainings

Workshops and training are both important for developing skills and knowledge, but they differ in their focus and approach:

    Training

A skill-building program that focuses on methodology and teaching. Training is usually delivered in a teacher-student environment, and the trainer uses traditional learning techniques like explanations, demonstrations, and exercises. Training aims to improve a participant’s capability, capacity, performance, and productivity.

    Workshop

A group activity that focuses on content and emphasizes problem-solving and participant involvement. Workshops are usually more interactive and can include group activities like presentations and small group projects. The facilitator guides the group through a procedure, asking questions, getting information, and sharing and reflecting on it. Workshops are a subset of training methods, along with lectures, seminars, tutorials, and simulations.
